As a Respect and Restoration Consultant, you will provide confidential guidance, conflict resolution, workplace restoration services, and related education to the Calgary Police Service (CPS) members and leaders. The position also identifies unattributed workplace trends and associated strategies to inform prevention and mitigation approaches, and recommends strategies to strengthen conflict resilience, accountability, psychological safety, and enhance organizational culture, strengthening policy and organizational change initiatives.

Primary duties include

- Support employees and leaders by delivering confidential guidance, conflict resolution, restorative services, and case management for workplace issues.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate respectful workplace, human rights, and psychological safety training, education, and prevention initiatives.
- Facilitate restorative and relationship-building processes that strengthen trust, support and resolve workplace issues,



and enhance team effectiveness.
- Analyze workplace trends and systemic issues to inform policy development, continuous improvement, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Advise leaders and interested parties on respectful workplace practices, providing expert guidance to strengthen accountability and workplace culture.

Qualifications

- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources, Law or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience supporting employees with workplace conflict.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Alberta Human Rights and Occupational Health and Safety legislation and trends is required.
- Expertise in verbal communication and strong business writing is required.
- A certificate in one of conflict resolution, mediation, third-party neutral, conflict coaching, group facilitation or adult learning is an asset.
- Experience working with first responders is also an asset.

Pre-employment Requirements

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Position and Pay Information

Business Unit: Calgary Police Services

Union: Calgary Police Service

Position Type: 1 Permanent

Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $48.54 - 64.88 per hour

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.

Days of work: This position works a 5 day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Location: 5111 47 Street N.E.
