We are a busy, fast-growing towing company serving Edmonton and the surrounding area and are currently seeking a professional, reliable and organized Call Taker to join our dispatch team. This full time role involves handling incoming calls, providing excellent customer service, and efficiently managing information through data entry. The ideal candidate will possess solid communication skills, be fluent in English, and work well with a team.

Duties

- Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Gather and verify customer information accurately to be entered into the dispatch system.
- Provide detailed information about products or services, addressing customer inquiries regarding estimated arrival times and service status.
- Communicate with tow truck operators via phone, radio and messaging systems.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records when required.
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service
- Work closely with drivers, management, police, roadside assistance providers, and insurance companies.

Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.




- Strong data entry and computer skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Customer service experience with a focus on professionalism.
- Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining composure and efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas is considered an asset.
- Previous customer service, dispatch, call centre, or towing industry experience is considered an asset.

Schedule

- Full-time position.
- 10-hour shifts.
- Days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays may be required.
- Overtime opportunities may be available.
