We help customers make informed purchasing decisions by offering clear product education, responsible-use guidance, and friendly service in a comfortable environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Budtenders to join our team and represent the Weediculous brand.

Position Overview

As a Budtender, you will assist customers throughout their in-store cannabis shopping experience. You will educate customers about cannabis products, help them understand available options, process transactions accurately, and maintain a clean, compliant, and welcoming retail environment.

The ideal candidate is personable, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable speaking with a wide range of customers. Previous cannabis retail or customer-service experience is an asset, but training may be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable legal cannabis products based on their preferences and experience level.
- Educate customers about product categories, formats, potency, terpene profiles, expected effects, responsible use, and storage.
- Explain product labels and provide accurate,



responsible information without making medical claims.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, debit, and other approved payment methods accurately.
- Verify identification and follow all age-verification requirements.
- Follow all applicable Ontario cannabis retail regulations, store policies, and operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate product knowledge, including current inventory, pricing, promotions, and new product releases.
- Receive, organize, and restock products while maintaining proper inventory controls.
- Keep display areas, counters, storage areas, and customer spaces clean and organized.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
- Support loss-prevention, security, and compliance procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect customer and company information.
- Work collaboratively with the management team and other staff members.
- Perform other retail duties as required.

Qualifications
- Must meet all legal eligibility requirements to work in an Ontario cannabis retail store.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- CANSELL certified
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




- Excellent customer-service skills and a positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable handling cash and using retail technology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to learn about cannabis products, regulations, and responsible consumption.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is an asset.
- Previous cannabis retail, retail, hospitality, sales, or customer-service experience is preferred.

Preferred Assets
- Previous experience as a budtender or cannabis retail associate.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, formats, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management.
- Smart Serve certification or other relevant retail training.
- Experience working in a regulated retail environment.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Bilingual communication skills.
