Responsibilities

- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of the heart and related anatomy for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, findings, and patient information in compliance with hospital policies and medical regulations
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained to uphold safety standards
- Adhere to infection control protocols and patient privacy regulations at all times




- Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in cardiac imaging to continually improve skills and service quality

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer or similar role with proficiency in echocardiography techniques
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Certification from a recognized credentialing body such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
