ABOUT THE ROLE

Eagle Mountain Industries (EMI) is seeking qualified Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices to support a growing portfolio of construction, service, and maintenance projects throughout the Columbia Basin, including Revelstoke, the Kootenays, and surrounding areas.

Work includes short-duration service calls, planned maintenance, shutdown support, and small-to-large construction scopes within utility, industrial, and controlled-access environments. Projects are located throughout the region and may require travel depending on project location, scope, and duration.

This opportunity is well suited for experienced Carpenters as well as Carpenter Apprentices looking to build their skills and experience. We are looking for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, demonstrate strong job site professionalism, work safely, and contribute positively as part of a project team. Experienced Carpenters may also have opportunities to take the lead on projects and smaller scopes of work.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- Civil and carpentry work supporting the construction, expansion, maintenance, and upgrade of critical infrastructure, including electrical substations, utility facilities, energy sites, and industrial service locations
- Project-based work throughout Southern and Northern B.C.
- Work in active utility environments, including energized or live facilities
- Travel between project locations throughout the region as required
- Strong coordination with EMI project supervision, site personnel, other trades, and client representatives

Requirements

- Journeyperson Carpenter certification or registration as a Carpenter Apprentice is preferred
- Experience or exposure to concrete/formwork, civil construction, framing, finishing, masonry, roofing, or general construction is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and project specifications; apprentices should have a willingness to develop these skills
- Solid commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and jobsite professionalism
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and other trades

Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
