Centre Manager / ECE Manager

LEXA Play & Learn Childcare is seeking an experienced, caring, and highly organized Centre Manager / ECE Manager to lead our childcare centre. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, support a strong team of educators, and help create a safe, engaging, and welcoming workplace for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the centre.
- Ensure the centre consistently meets BC childcare licensing requirements and maintains high standards of care.
- Supervise, mentor, schedule, and support educators and staff.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Support curriculum planning and ensure programming is engaging, inclusive, and aligned with children’s developmental needs.
- Build strong relationships with families and communicate professionally regarding children’s care, progress, and concerns.
- Manage enrolment, centre administration, staffing needs, and day-to-day operational matters.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized,



and welcoming learning environment.
- Address concerns professionally and work proactively to resolve issues involving staff, families, or operations.

Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE certification.
- Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role within a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of BC childcare licensing requirements and centre operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children, families, and educators.
