Job Summary
Be part of a clinic built on clinical rigor and patient safety. London Hyperbaric clinic is growing again and recruiting a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) to support the delivery of evidence-based hyperbaric oxygen therapy within a tightly governed, physician-led clinical environment.
This role is central to our mission: ensuring uncompromising safety, protocol adherence, and high-quality patient care from day one. The successful candidate will play a critical role in chamber operations, patient monitoring, and emergency preparedness, contributing directly to clinical outcomes and the integrity of the program.
Duties
- Deliver hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in strict accordance with physician orders, established clinical protocols, and safety standards
- Conduct comprehensive pre-treatment screenings, to ensure safe therapy delivery
- Continuously monitor patients during treatment for physiological and psychological tolerance, promptly identifying and escalating any adverse events or changes in condition
- Perform post-treatment evaluations, documenting patient response and communicating relevant findings to the clinical team
- Operate hyperbaric chamber systems with precision, including pressurization, depressurization, and environmental controls, ensuring adherence to all safety and operational protocols
- Execute routine equipment checks, preventative maintenance tasks, and safety inspections in alignment with regulatory and manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain constant situational awareness across all active chambers and patients, supporting safe, coordinated clinical operations in a multi-patient environment
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including fire, medical events, or chamber-related incidents,
following established emergency procedures and participating in regular drills
- Collaborate closely with physicians, wound care specialists, and administrative staff to support integrated, patient-centered care
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all treatments, observations, and incidents within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Uphold the highest standards of infection prevention and control, patient dignity, and clinical professionalism at all times
Skills
- The candidate holds a current license as a Certified Hyperbaric Technician, including all required recertifications to ensure their certification remains active and in good standing.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Experience in wound care, critical care, emergency, respiratory therapy or paramedicine
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Word processing software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to hyperbaric equipment
- Situational Awareness-Maintains continuous awareness of assigned patients, adjacent chambers, and overall room activity to quickly recognize changes in patient condition, chamber status, or staff needs.
- Demonstrates the ability to monitor multiple points of care at once, anticipate potential issues, and respond promptly to support safety, communication, and coordinated team action.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, nurses and administrative staff
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient data
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
