Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient teamwork and high-quality food production
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes (African, Mexican, continental dishes) and maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control
- Oversee food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste and control costs
- Ensure all food service operations adhere to health codes, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Train team members on cooking techniques, food safety, and customer service standards




- Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences

Requirements

- Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
- Extensive food service experience with a solid understanding of kitchen operations
- Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively
- Knowledge of restaurant management principles including inventory control and customer service excellence
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, handling procedures, and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth workflow
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
