Role Description The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide overall strategic leadership, operational direction, and executive management for Autism Center for Kids. This contract role is based in Vaughan, ON with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site leadership with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and executing the organization’s vision and strategy, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based services across all locations.
The CEO will lead and mentor senior leaders, foster a team-oriented and inclusive culture,
and build solid relationships with families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include driving growth initiatives in Canada and the USA, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, representing the organization publicly, and reporting regularly to the Board of Directors on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong financial acumen, with skills in Finance and Business Planning to manage budgets, forecasts, and sustainable growth.
- Proven experience in Operations Management and Strategic Planning to oversee multi-site service delivery and long-term organizational direction.
- Demonstrated ability in Sales and growth-oriented initiatives to expand services, partnerships, and client reach.
- Leadership experience in healthcare, social services, or related sectors, preferably with exposure to autism or developmental services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with families, staff, and community partners.
- Track record of leading diverse teams, promoting equity, inclusion, and ethical practices in all organizational activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid workplace based in Vaughan, ON, with occasional travel to other locations in Canada and the USA.
