Oakbridge Search Partners is excited to partner with a leading specialty construction contractor with 35+ years of experience delivering complex commercial, institutional and healthcare projects across Western Canada.
Backed by PE, our client is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join its senior leadership team.
Reporting directly to the President, the CFO will be both a financial leader and strategic business partner, helping drive profitable growth, geographic expansion and the development of the financial infrastructure required to scale the organization.
Key areas of focus:
- Lead finance, accounting and controllership
- Own forecasting for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and working capital
- Oversee construction accounting, WIP, job costing and project profitability
- Partner with operations and project teams to improve forecasting and margin visibility
- Provide strategic analysis and financial modelling to support growth decisions
- Strengthen financial processes, systems and controls
- Lead and develop the finance team The ideal candidate will bring:
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong experience in construction, specialty contracting or another project-based environment
- Deep expertise in construction accounting and project financials
- Robust forecasting, cash flow and controllership capabilities
- Commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to translate financial data into business decisions
- Experience in a growth-oriented or private equity-backed environment is preferred
- CPA designation is an asset
