Childcare Educator – Level 1 or Level 2 (Part-Time)

Wage: $19.00–$22.00 per hour

Position Overview

Leduc Learners Childcare Centre is seeking a reliable, caring, and energetic Level 1 or Level 2 Early Childhood Educator to support our school-age childcare program.

The successful candidate will work with children in Kindergarten and older and help provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.

Hours and Schedule

- Approximately 3–5 hours per day
- Regular shift is expected to be 2:45 p.m.–5:45 p.m.
- Shift times may change depending on program needs
- 6 or more hours may be available on PD days and during school breaks
- Availability for additional hours when needed is an asset

Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage with school-age children
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized childcare environment




- Follow childcare licensing requirements and centre policies
- Communicate professionally with children, families, and coworkers
- Assist with daily cleaning, documentation, and other program duties

Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 1 or Level 2 certification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working with Kindergarten or school-age children is preferred
- Dependable, patient, responsible, and able to take initiative
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
