Full-Time Chimney Sweep and Fireplace Service Technician

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team in Red Deer as a full-time Chimney Sweep and Fireplace Service Technician.

Chimney sweeping will be the primary focus of this position, with fireplace servicing as a secondary responsibility. The successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders, working safely on rooftops, lifting equipment and travelling throughout Central Alberta. Previous chimney sweeping or fireplace service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Position Details

- Full time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Based in Red Deer, with regular travel throughout Central Alberta
- Company service vehicle supplied

Primary Responsibilities

- Chimney sweeping
- Fireplace servicing
- Safely using ladders and working on rooftops
- Travelling to customer homes throughout Central Alberta
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Following company and workplace safety procedures

Requirements

- Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops




- Physically capable of lifting and carrying the equipment required for the position
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willing and able to spend a significant part of the workday driving
- Valid Alberta driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Fluent spoken and written English for customer communication, safety procedures and service documentation
- Dependable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Successful completion of a criminal record check will be required

Previous chimney sweeping or fireplace service experience is an asset. Applicants with current WETT certification will be given priority. If you are reliable, safety-conscious and interested in developing a skilled trade with an established local company, we would like to hear from you.
