Blueprint Boulevard Inc. is a residential design and planning firm based in Brockville, Ontario. We work on custom homes, additions, septic design, site plans, grading plans, and various municipal planning and approval applications.
We’re a small, growing team focused on practical design, efficient approvals, and moving projects forward for our clients. We take pride in quality work, looking after our clients, and maintaining strong relationships with municipalities and other project stakeholders.
Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer or Technologist to join our team. This is a hands-on role working on site plans, grading and drainage, septic and servicing drawings, and municipal approval applications. The successful candidate will work with field information and coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and the project team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare site plans, grading plans, septic plans, servicing plans, and supporting details
- Assist with drawing and application packages for municipal and agency approvals
- Review field information and incorporate elevations and existing site conditions
- Assist with calculations and details for residential and small land development projects
- Complete revisions based on client, municipal, and agency feedback
- Coordinate with internal team members and outside consultants on active projects
- Assist with organizing drawing sets, submission packages, and project files Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three-Year Diploma or Four-Year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D and (Proof will be required through the interview process)
- Understanding of existing and proposed engineering standards and guidelines for several different local municipalities.
- Comfortable preparing drawings independently. This is not an entry-level training role.
- Understanding of grading, drainage, site servicing, and municipal design requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a valid driver’s licence
Assets
- Experience with Civil 3D and preparing surfaces, profiles, or grading plans
- Experience with residential, rural, septic, or small land development projects
- Design work in larger subdivision-development, including grading, stormwater management, and sewer infrastructure design in Ontario.
- Field experience with site visits, measurements, GPS, or topographic survey work
Compensation Compensation will be based on a 37.5 hour work week, and based on the experience of the applicant provided.
Work Structure
This position is full-time at our office (2211 Parkedale Avenue, Unit C, Brockville, ON). Hybrid arrangements may be considered. Occasional site visits and field work may be required.
