Job Opportunity: Experienced Pipelayer/Lead Hand

Flury Earthworks Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Pipelayer to join our crew for projects in West Kelowna and the surrounding area. We are a locally-owned company that prides itself on specialized, high-quality civil work and a positive team environment.

The Role: Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the accurate installation of underground utilities (Storm, Sanitary, Water, and shallow utilities).

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret civil drawings and blueprints.
- Set up and operate pipe lasers and survey equipment to ensure precise grading.
- Lead the installation of manholes, catch basins, and various utility pipe.
- Operate compaction equipment to ensure proper bedding and compaction.
- Proactively identify site hazards and participate in daily safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with operators and ground crew to meet production targets.

What You Bring:

- Minimum 5 years of pipelaying experience in civil construction.




- Proficiency with pipe lasers and reading site plans; GPS experience is an asset.
- Valid First Aid and Confined Space Entry certifications are highly valued.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and dependable transportation.
- Physically fit (ability to lift 50lbs), punctual, and able to work independently or lead a ground crew.
- A proven safety record working around heavy equipment and in trenches.

Experience:
- Construction labour: 2 years (preferred)
- Pipelaying: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Confined Space Certification (preferred)
