We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a robust commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.
The Truck
Driver will also be involved in handling freight, operating heavy equipment, and performing basic automotive repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport freight and goods to designated locations across REGIONAL OR CITY ROUTES
- Load and unload freight using pallet jacks when necessary
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit to prevent damage during transportation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical problems during transit or at the depott
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation at all times
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Min 1 year Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in transportation industry
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks related to loading/unloading freight
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately
- Must be able to pass a road test using a MANUAL TRANSMISSION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
