Overview

We are launching a current cleaning services company and seeking an experienced, hands-on Cleaning Operations Manager to build and lead our entire operational framework from the ground up. In this pivotal founding role, you will establish standard operating procedures, design job pricing and quoting models, select equipment and supplies, and recruit, train, and supervise our on-the-ground cleaning teams. Key Responsibilities

- Startup Setup &
- Strategy:

Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols (OSHA/COSHH standards), quality control checklists, and operational workflows across commercial and residential sites.

- Pricing &

- Job Estimation:

Develop competitive and profitable pricing models, calculate labor hours, square footage rates, chemical/equipment costs, and prepare client quotes/bids.

- Team Leadership &

- Hiring:

Recruit, onboard, train, and manage cleaners and site supervisors; build reliable shift schedules and foster a culture of quality, safety, and accountability.

- Daily Operations Management: Oversee all on-site cleaning jobs, handle route planning and dispatching,



manage supply inventory, and maintain equipment.

- Quality Assurance &

- Client Relations:

Conduct routine site inspections, act as the primary operational contact for clients, resolve client feedback promptly, and ensure client retention.

Requirements

- Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in cleaning operations, facility services, or janitorial management (prior experience in a cleaning startup or launching a new service branch is a strong plus).

- Estimating Expertise:

Proven ability to accurately estimate job costs, build commercial/residential service quotes, and manage operational budgets.

- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of professional cleaning chemicals, specialized equipment (buffers, extractors, pressure washers), surface care techniques, and safety standards.

- Leadership &

- Organization:

Strong track record of hiring, training, and managing field teams, with the ability to handle rapid scaling and dynamic scheduling.

- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with founders, clients, and cleaning crews.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
