Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) Alta Vista is a fast-growing, award-winning insurance brokerage in Ottawa. We are seeking a second RIBO licensed Client Relationship Manager / Insurance Service Broker to join our team and help us deliver exceptional service while driving client retention and account growth.

At BIG Alta Vista, we currently retain 92% of our clients annually. Our goal is to achieve and sustain 95%+ retention through proactive client reviews, trusted advice, and exceptional service. This role is ideal for an insurance professional who enjoys building client relationships, solving problems, retaining business, and identifying opportunities to better protect clients.

What You’ll Do

- Manage an assigned book of insurance clients
- Conduct annual policy reviews and coverage consultations
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and remarkets
- Proactively retain clients through relationship management and market reviews
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through phone, email, in-person, and virtual meetings
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across personal, commercial, life, and financial insurance products
- Support branch growth through inbound sales opportunities, win-backs, up-sells, cross-sells, and client reviews
- Collaborate with our sales team to support client retention and business growth.

Qualifications

Must Have

- Active RIBO License in good standing
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum 1+ years of insurance brokerage experience




- Proven client service and retention experience
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Comfortable using technology and digital platforms
- Must reside within the Greater Ottawa Area

Nice-to-Have

- CAIB, CIC, CIP, or FCIP designation
- Experience with Power Broker and Applied Rating Services
- Experience servicing both personal and commercial insurance clients
- Additional language skills

Our Compensation Philosophy

This role is primarily focused on client service and retention; however, team members are encouraged and rewarded for identifying and closing recent business opportunities generated through inbound inquiries, client referrals, annual reviews, cross-selling initiatives, and win-back campaigns.

Personally written new business opportunities—including inbound branch leads, client referrals, win-backs, cross-sell opportunities, and other branch-generated sales opportunities handled by the Client Relationship Manager—are eligible for commission compensation in addition to base salary and performance bonuses.
