OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: We are seeking talented and experienced Clinical Informatic Analysts to join our Mariner Innovations team for client-based projects. In collaboration with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, technical experts, and/or vendors, you will deliver best of breed solutions to new and existing customers. These opportunities are open to full time salaried employees, contract employees, and Independent Contractors. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE: Develop and document workflows.
Support the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of the Clinical Information System (CIS).
Analyze and improve clinical and business processes; act as a key change agent to support implementation, adoption, and continuous optimization of new standards.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and enhance patient care processes by guiding working groups responsible for workflow redesign and configuring outcomes within the CIS solution.
Act as a champion for evidence-based best practices, advocate for the use of technology and health information to improve clinical processes and ensure seamless integration of technology.
Provide end-user training and support the development of training plans and materials, including interactive online learning modules and classroom-based sessions.
Develop and deliver project communications while applying project management, quality improvement, and change management methodologies to support stakeholders and resolve issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the health informatics industry, trends, and healthcare standards; implement and monitor service and performance standards to ensure quality, clinical, and regulatory compliance. WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB: Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology, or health informatics with 1–2 years of clinical informatics experience.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Basic knowledge of systems principles, theories, and concepts within healthcare.
Ability to identify innovative solutions and apply knowledge of clinical best practices to solve a range of complex problems while collaborating and influencing diverse stakeholders.
Experience in transformational or process analysis to support change management principles with experience creating summary documentation. Possession of a valid driver’s license, with ability to travel within the province as required. Ability to explain complex technical issues to both clinical and business staff is considered an asset.
Experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex healthcare organizational environment is preferred.
Experience in workflow and process redesign is an asset.
Certification in CPHIMS, ITIL, PMP, and/or organizational change management is preferred.
