Reporting to the Supervisor, the CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, programming, and operation of CNC press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines to form sheet metal components to specification
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders to determine bend allowances, bend sequences, and tooling requirements
- Load, edit, and verify CNC programs; make offsets and adjustments as required
- Select, install, and align appropriate tooling, dies, punches, and back gauges
- Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks using measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot forming issues and make corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Conduct daily machine inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Operate related fabrication equipment such as sheet metal shears, turret punch presses, CNC punch machines, and laser cutting machines as required
- Use power hand tools including drills, angle grinders, and impact wrenches
- Safely operate industrial material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
- Sort, label, stage, and package materials and finished products
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and strictly follow all safety policies and procedures • Stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks




- Willingness to work shift work and overtime as required

Qualifications & Skills

- Proven experience operating CNC press brake equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to program, set up, and adjust CNC press brake machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Solid understanding of bend calculations, tolerances, and material properties • General manufacturing experience required
- Proficient with tape measures, calipers, and basic math calculations • Physically fit and able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
- Safety-conscious with a strong awareness of shop hazards
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Must own CSA-approved safety shoes
