Established in 1999, Saturn Machine Works Ltd. (Saturn) is the go-to problem-solving machine shop located in Edmonton, Alberta. We are a CNC production machine shop in a 17,000 sq.ft. facility. We serve customers in the oil and gas, mining, automotive, industrial, and electrical industries. Saturn is recognized by our customers for providing top quality machined parts of all types as well as prototypes and parts with complex geometries.

Qualifications:

- Understanding of standard practices, materials, tools, and methods of the Machinist’s trade with an ability to use all types of measuring tools and maintain calibrations
- Ability to perform set-ups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team from blueprints
- Ability to work with close tolerances
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Required Skills





- Must have strong capabilities on lathes and an understanding of CNC Lathes with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Must be able to work with Fanuc and Mazak controls
- Must possess strong communication skills, positive attitude and a strong sense of their true abilities
- Must have a strong sense for trouble shooting and working independently to follow our system

Required Experience/Education:

- Machinist - 3-4 year Apprentice with a strong background in CNC Lathe operations or
- Minimum 5 years CNC Experience on Fanuc or Mazak machines
- Understand and read/speak English

Additional Information:

Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
