Code Ninjas Vaughan is a kids' coding centre where students ages 5–14 learn to code by building their own video games. We're hiring one Sensei for a hybrid role: you'll spend most of your hours coaching kids on the floor, and a dedicated block each week creating the social content that shows families what happens inside our Dojo.

This is one job, not two. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids and has a creative eye for short-form video.

What you'll do - coaching (majority of hours)

- Guide ninjas through our game-based curriculum: Scratch, Roblox/Lua, JavaScript, and Python
- Keep sessions energetic, focused, and fun; help students push through the frustrating parts
- Run belt-up assessments and celebrate student milestones
- Build real rapport with kids and give parents useful updates at pickup
- Support camps and special events during PA days and school breaks

What you'll do - content (dedicated weekly block)

- Capture short-form video and photos in the centre: project reveals, belt ceremonies, camp highlights
- Edit and publish Reels, TikToks, and Stories on a consistent weekly cadence
- Pitch your own ideas - trends worth adapting,



formats that make local parents stop scrolling
- Work within Code Ninjas brand guidelines and strictly follow our parent media-consent list

Qualifications

- Comfortable and patient with children; teaching, tutoring, camp, or coaching experience preferred
- Able to code well enough to stay a step ahead of a curious 11-year-old
- Demonstrated video editing and social content skills — please share a link to your work
- Reliable availability for a consistent weekly schedule during our peak hours
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required before start date / Willing to obtain

Nice to have

- CapCut, Premiere, or After Effects
- Graphic design and thumbnail work
- Roblox Studio experience
- Previous experience running a business or creator social account

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: $16.60-$18.60 per hour
