Ruth & Naomi’s Mission has been serving the Chilliwack community for over 20 years. What began with handing out sandwiches to people experiencing homelessness has grown into a multi-site organization with over 100 staff serving people across a variety of programs. Every day we serve hundreds of meals, provide emergency shelter, and walk alongside individuals on their journey toward stability and recovery.

To support this work, we are looking for a Coffee Shop Keyholder to join our team.
Our coffee shop operates as a social enterprise and employment program, providing participants with an prospect to gain meaningful work experience in a supportive environment. This role plays an important part in both the daily operations of the coffee shop and in supporting participants as they develop workplace skills.
What You’ll Do
As a Coffee Shop Keyholder you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the coffee shop while creating a welcoming environment for customers, staff, volunteers, and program participants.
Responsibilities include
- Preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and food items
- Providing excellent and friendly customer service
- Opening and/or closing the coffee shop as a keyholder
- Operating the POS system and handling cash transactions
- Maintaining a clean and organized coffee shop
- Supporting participants gaining employment experience in the coffee shop
- Modeling positive workplace behaviour and teamwork
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, and passionate about contributing to a supportive and welcoming environment.
Qualifications include
- Previous café, barista, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working alongside employment program participants
- Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain) required
Compensation & Benefits
- $21.50 per hour
