The Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel is a large 285 room full service property with restaurant, pub, and lounge as well as large catering operation, pool, and fitness facilities. Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and seating guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Picking up the cash float for the shift and ensuring the amount is correct.
- Settling guest bills to cash, room charge, credit card, debit or gift card as required.
- Balancing the till following the shift and depositing the revenue from the shift.
- Assisting servers by polishing cutlery/glassware and setting tables for meal service.
- Answering general guest questions and addressing concerns.
- Answering Colors phone and taking room service orders.
- Communicating any concerns regarding food quality to Restaurant Manager.
- Performing all duties in a safe manner according to established safe work practices.
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, near misses and/or hazardous conditions.
- Other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Well organized with valuable cash handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Previous customer service and host/cashier experience an asset
Hours of Work: Days of the week vary according to business levels. Shift vary between 6:00am – 1:00pm; weekends and holidays required.
