Reporting to the Head Trader Americas, the Senior Trader will be responsible for assisting investors in all aspects of the investment process including investment idea generation and implementation in the Americas markets.
The Senior
Trader will be responsible for assessing Market Risks and Costs while operating within applicable external and internal regulations and guidelines. They will partner with senior management in support of strategic firm initiatives and client engagements.

Trader will provide back‑up support to the Head of Trading in oversight functions and support critical department functions including content creation, syndication, and execution technologies.

Trader will focus on providing the investment team with best‑in‑class market intelligence to highlight short‑ to medium‑term portfolio impacts. They support analysts in identifying liquidity opportunities, re‑appreciated micro & macro forces, positioning dynamics, regulatory impacts and cross‑asset moves.

Trader mentors staff, upholds service consistency, and fosters team culture while partnering with compliance, middle office and settlements to minimize operational risk.

Trader implements credit and equity cash, synthetic and derivative order flows in line with the Global Best Execution Policy, assists in vetting current execution technologies, leverages trade data to improve processes, consults portfolio managers on optimal strategies, and introduces new investment instrument opportunities for fund management where appropriate.
Assist investors in all aspects of the investment process and implementation in the Americas markets.
Assess market risks and costs while complying with external and internal regulations.
Provide back‑up support to the Head of Trading for oversight and department functions (content creation, syndication, execution technologies).
Deliver best‑in‑class market intelligence to highlight short‑ to medium‑term portfolio impacts.
Support analysts in identifying liquidity opportunities, micro & macro forces, positioning dynamics, regulatory impacts and cross‑asset moves.
Partner with compliance, middle office and settlements to minimize operational risk.
Implement credit and equity cash, synthetic and derivative order flows in line with the Global Best Execution Policy.
Leverage trade data and technologies to reduce costs and mitigate risk.
Consult portfolio managers on optimal trading strategies.
Collaborate with investors and analysts to develop trade ideas.
Regularly schedule and lead investment team calls and cross‑asset investor content creation.
Identify potential market impacts due to regulatory changes, micro & macro forces and positioning dynamics.
Adhere to Fidelity Global Trading Policies and MiFID II obligations, oversee investment risk and compliance.
Minimum 15 years of experience in equities and fixed‑income trading.
Relevant multi‑asset trading experience in Canadian, U.S. and LATAM markets.
Experience developing and overseeing best‑execution processes across market conditions.
