:

Looking for a welder to work in our commercial truck repair facility, open to varying degrees of experience.

As a Commercial Transport Welder, you will:

- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma cutting, Gauging/air arc cutting, Aluminum (spool gun)
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting metal components to precise measurements and tolerances
- Operate manual flame-cutting equipment.
- Operate metal straightening and bending machines.
- Repair parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
- Perform weld inspections to verify weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition, performing regular maintenance and repairs as required.

To be successful in this role, you should have: · 2+ Years experience as a welder.

- Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.




- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure and solid attention to detail.
