Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, knowledgeable, fuel-experienced Commercial/Trailer Petroleum Dispatcher to coordinate daily driver activities and ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial transportation, petroleum distribution, dispatch operations, and regulatory requirements.

This position requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule and dispatch drivers for efficient pickup and delivery operations.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes while minimizing delays and operating costs.
- Monitor and adjust driver schedules based on workload, traffic, weather, and operational requirements.
- Provide drivers with clear instructions regarding routes, delivery locations, customer requirements, and potential road conditions.
- Monitor deliveries and proactively address service issues or delays.
- Communicate operational updates and service concerns with the Customer Service and Operations teams.
- Ensure drivers follow company policies, safety procedures, Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Monitor driver hours, logs, and overall compliance.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs, maintenance, inspections, and other requirements to support fleet availability.
- Use dispatch software, GPS tracking,



and transportation management systems to monitor and improve fleet efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date transportation records, including rates, equipment information, fuel surcharges, and delivery details.
- Monitor driver performance and support productivity and service-level objectives.
- Identify operational issues and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Assist with day-to-day commercial and trailer dispatch operations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum 3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or fleet coordination preferred.
- Commercial transportation and petroleum industry experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with trailer dispatch and fuel delivery operations is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional transportation requirements and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking, and transportation management systems.
- Ability to make sound decisions and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
