Twisted Wrench Inc. is a growing commercial truck and trailer repair company providing shop and mobile service to our customers. We specialize in the repair and maintenance of commercial trucks, trailers, and diesel equipment.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can diagnose and repair equipment efficiently, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Perform brake inspections, repairs, and adjustments
- Complete trailer repairs and maintenance
- Diagnose and repair air brake and air system components
- Perform mobile repairs and roadside service when required
- Complete safety inspections and identify potential mechanical issues
- Accurately document repairs, parts, labour, and recommendations on work orders
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations to the service team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable industry regulations
- Maintain and care for company tools and equipment
- Complete other mechanical and shop duties as required

Qualifications
- Commercial Transport Mechanic certification or equivalent experience
- Red Seal certification is an asset, but not a must
- Previous experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
- Strong diesel mechanical knowledge
- Experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems




- Experience with air brake systems
- Ability to read and understand service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical information
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license is an asset
- Ability to work safely in a shop and mobile service environment
- Own tools suitable for the position
- Apprentices with at least 1st or 2nd year of trades schooling
