About ENABLE Canada

ENABLE Canada is a national accessibility and inclusion initiative focused on creating practical pathways for persons with disabilities to participate fully in employment, education, entrepreneurship, and community life.

Through community programming, partnerships, workshops, outreach, and accessibility initiatives, we work directly with persons with disabilities and collaborate with employers, educational institutions, governments, nonprofits, and community organizations to help remove barriers and expand opportunity.

About the Role

ENABLE Canada is seeking a Community Inclusion Coordinator to support our disability-focused community programs in Greater Sudbury.

This is a hands-on community role. The Coordinator will work directly with persons with disabilities to understand employment, education, accessibility, and community-participation barriers; connect participants with appropriate resources and supports; coordinate programs and referrals; and build relationships with local organizations that can strengthen inclusion and employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct participant intake and needs assessments to identify barriers, strengths, goals, and support requirements.
- Help participants develop individualized action plans and connect them with relevant employment, education, government, accessibility, and community resources.
- Deliver community programs,

workshops, peer-support activities, mentorship initiatives, and accessibility-awareness sessions.
- Conduct outreach across Greater Sudbury to engage persons with disabilities who may benefit from ENABLE Canada programs.
- Provide ongoing, non-clinical participant support and coordinate referrals when additional services are required.
- Coordinate volunteers, peer mentors, participants, and community activities.
- Build referral and partnership pathways with employers, colleges and universities, disability organizations, community agencies, and government/service partners.
- Support accessibility and accommodation throughout programs and participant communications.
- Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, referrals, program statistics, and outcome information.
- Collect participant feedback and contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Support community events, consultations, and other ENABLE Canada inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in social work, social sciences, community services, disability studies, psychology, behavioural sciences, community development, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant community-service experience may be considered.

- Experience working with persons with disabilities or individuals experiencing employment, accessibility, or community-participation barriers is an asset.
- Knowledge of community resources, disability supports, employment services, and accessibility programs.
- Solid interpersonal, communication, documentation, and program-coordination skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with participants and community partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to accessibility, inclusion, dignity, and participant-centred service delivery.
- Comfortable using digital collaboration, accessible technology, and case-management or participant-tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently in the community while collaborating with a broader team.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is practical, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working directly in the community. The successful candidate will understand that meaningful inclusion involves more than providing information—it requires listening to individuals, identifying barriers, coordinating the right supports, and building relationships that create lasting opportunities.

Lived experience of disability and/or experience working closely with disability communities is welcomed and valued.

Accessibility

ENABLE Canada is committed to an accessible and inclusive recruitment process. Applicants requiring accommodations, alternative communication formats, or other accessibility supports during recruitment are encouraged to let us know, and we will work with you to provide an equitable process.
