About the position:

McMan’s Disabilities Services Program in Edson is seeking a dedicated Community Resource Worker (CRW2) for the Independent Living with Support (ILS) program. This role involves providing supports to two (2) female individuals and one (1) male individual with physical and developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and complex behaviours, helping to enhance their quality of life in both their homes and communities.

Please note that due to the individuals’ needs, the successful candidate must be female.

Hours: Tue- Fri 8am-4pm. Total of 32 awake hours.

Location: Hinton, Alberta.

What you’ll do:

· Connect with and develop helping relationships with individuals with disabilities

· Act as a strong advocate for individuals in the community

· Work effectively as a team with the individuals and their support team to help achieve their goals

· Complete daily documentation

· Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities and medical appointments

· Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home

· Participate in on-going program development

What you bring:

· Completion of a High School Diploma.

· One (1) year experience working within the Human Services field (relevant equivalencies will be considered).

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).

· Current Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.

· Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and $2 million Liability auto insurance are required.

· Proficiency in basic computer and word processing tasks

· Compassion and the ability to assist with personal care.

· Ability to implement approved restrictive practices and establish boundaries while maintaining positive supports.
