Community Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our CPLF team!

As a Community Support Worker, you will work directly with an adult male who enjoys going to the mall, parks, and coffee shops. Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) Support Workers facilitate participation in recreational and social activities, support personal growth and community involvement, and promote the overall well-being of people with disabilities.

Job Details

Location: Southeast Calgary (Ogden)

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Salary: $21.53 per hour

Benefits and Training: Health benefits after three months of employment. CPLF Orientation, Medication Administration Training, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, Abuse Protocol Training, and Positive Behaviour Support Training will be provided.

Job Requirements

- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past two years.
- Must be an empathetic and patient individual.
- Experience working in the disability services field is an asset.
- Reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- If hired, candidates must have $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance.
- Valid First Aid (Level C) certification is required within three months of hiring.
