Job Summary

I am seeking a compassionate, energetic, and confident Companion or Caregiver to provide dedicated support, visitation, assistance and engagement to an 85 year old elderly man who recently became a resident of Terraceview Lodge.

This role is all about enhancing quality of life, offering dignity, and providing key variety for someone who currently deals with cognitive and dementia-type symptoms. All of his day-to-day needs (meals, medications, dressing, personal care) are mostly provided by the facility and associated staff. I am looking to provide him with some sense of normalcy, variety, and joyful moments in his lifelong community despite his limitations and challenges.

Duties

- Offer companionship at the facility and off-premises
- Support with walking, mobility
- Transport for appointments, errands, or social outings
- Acquire needed items from the community and deliver
- Record and communicate daily activities, condition,



and comments after each visit.
- Attend in 2-3 hour shifts for 3 or 4 days per week (specifics are flexible and negotiable)

Assets

- Proven experience iwith seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia care
- Ability to take charge and offer direction to the individual
- Dependable vehicle and clean driving record
- Comfort with small friendly dogs
