Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication activities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living space
- Support clients with mobility challenges through protected transfer techniques and assist with walking or exercise routines
- Monitor health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices and senior care needs, including dementia and disability support
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transfers
- Robust skills in meal preparation and medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to handle cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Valid certifications related to caregiving or healthcare are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
