Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Completions Engineer to support offshore well operations. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineering, operations, and service-provider personnel to support well delivery objectives.
The role will be responsible for technical deliverables related to the planning, scheduling, design, and financial aspects of completion and intervention operations.
Responsibilities
- Well completion design and planning for platform wells in accordance with applicable regulations, client policies, and industry standards.
- Develop well-specific completion programs to support well delivery objectives.
- Liaise with platform construction and operations teams to manage interfaces and support successful execution.
- Provide well integrity oversight and completion engineering support for the evaluation and response to well integrity issues.
- Specify and support the procurement of well equipment, including inventory management oversight and verification.
- Provide shore-based engineering support to offshore well operations, with periodic offshore site visits as required.
- Maintain detailed well planning, construction, and operational records in accordance with document management requirements.
- Prepare regulatory and well licence documentation,
including approvals and end-of-well reports.
- Develop and revise management system documentation, including design standards, operating procedures, and policies.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve operational performance, design, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee equipment preparation and loadouts at contractor facilities, including post-job reviews, failure analysis, documentation, and integration of lessons learned into future operations.
- Support bid and tender activities, including EOIs, ITBs, contract terms and conditions, and the selection of contracted well services and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with the applicable professional engineering association.
- Demonstrated experience in offshore oil and gas completion and intervention engineering.
- Experience with well completion design, planning, and execution.
- Experience with well equipment specification, procurement, and vendor management.
- Experience supporting offshore well operations and contractor activities.
- Robust technical, planning, cost-control, and documentation skills.
