Job Overview

Norwood & Co. is looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman / Manager to lead a small concrete crew specializing primarily in ICF foundations and residential/light commercial concrete work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running day-to-day site operations, coordinating the crew, reviewing drawings, ordering materials, maintaining schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a small concrete crew
- Layout and construct ICF foundation systems
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, elevations, and site plans
- Coordinate excavation, footings, ICF installation, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, waterproofing, and related foundation work
- Schedule manpower, materials, concrete pours, pumps, and equipment
- Maintain quality control throughout each project




- Ensure projects remain on schedule and within expected labour hours
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Maintain safe and organized jobsites
- Track daily progress and communicate material or scheduling requirements to management
- Train and oversee less-experienced crew members

Qualifications
- Previous experience in ICF foundations is required
- Solid concrete and foundation construction experience
- Previous foreman, lead hand, or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to read construction drawings and complete layout
- Knowledge of forming, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and foundation waterproofing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently in the field
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for a project from layout through foundation completion while leading a small, productive crew. Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
