SkilledReady is currently hiring reliable and hardworking Construction General Labourers for a variety of construction projects and job-site assignments throughout the area.

SkilledReady is a staffing firm that connects qualified workers with construction companies, contractors, restoration companies, developers, and other employers requiring additional workforce support.

Opportunities can range from short-term projects and temporary assignments to ongoing and long-term placements, depending on client needs, project availability, experience, and performance. Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

- General construction labour and job-site support
- Site preparation and cleanup
- Moving, loading, and organizing construction materials
- Assisting skilled trades and site supervisors
- Basic demolition and removal of building materials
- Drywall, framing, flooring, trim, and renovation assistance
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Loading and disposing of construction debris
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Following site-specific health and safety procedures
- Performing other general construction duties as required

Requirements
- Previous construction or general labour experience is considered an asset
- Comfortable working in active construction environments




- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- Required PPE may include a hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing depending on the job site
- Reliable transportation to different job sites is considered an asset
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Solid work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Additional certifications such as Working at Heights, WHMIS, or other construction safety training are considered assets

About the Work

As a SkilledReady employee, you may be offered assignments based on your experience, availability, location, and our clients' current staffing requirements.

Assignments vary. Some may involve a few shifts or a short-term construction project, while others may provide consistent work for several weeks or months or lead to longer-term placement opportunities.

We work with our employees to match them with suitable opportunities as they become available and may contact you for additional assignments after a project is completed.
