Summit Mountain Homes Ltd. is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team.
We specialize in residential construction and renovations, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, knows how to keep a job site running smoothly, and enjoys leading a team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The right person will be comfortable working alongside the crew while also taking responsibility for day-to-day site coordination, quality, productivity, and keeping projects on track.

What You'll Be Doing As Foreman, you'll take the lead on the day-to-day operation of our job sites. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating our carpentry/construction crew
- Working hands-on alongside the team when needed
- Planning daily and weekly work to keep projects moving efficiently
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, and inspections
- Reading and working from construction drawings and specifications
- Maintaining high standards for workmanship and quality control
- Identifying issues early and working with the project team to find practical solutions
- Keeping job sites organized, professional, and safe
- Communicating project progress, upcoming needs, and potential challenges
- Helping train and mentor less-experienced team members
- Taking ownership of the job site and seeing the project through from start to finish
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate has
- Strong residential construction experience
- Renovation experience is strongly preferred
- Previous foreman, lead hand, or crew leadership experience
- Strong carpentry and general construction knowledge
- The ability to read plans and think several steps ahead
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Robust communication skills with employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners
- A high standard for quality and attention to detail
- The ability to lead respectfully while holding the team accountable
- A valid driver's licence and good driving record
Renovation experience is particularly valuable to us. We need someone who understands that renovation work often requires creativity, adaptability, and the ability to solve unexpected problems while still keeping the project moving. The Kind of Person Who Will Fit Our Team
We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged. You should be able to look at a project, understand what needs to happen next, organize the people and materials required, and take ownership of getting it done properly.
You care about doing good work, but you also understand that a successful project needs to be organized, productive, and well communicated.
