Pioneer Fund is seeking a Content & Social Lead to make sure our founders' work gets the attention it deserves.

We invest in over 150 companies a year, and our portfolio generates far more stories than we currently tell. This role has two jobs. First, get our founders' announcements and milestones the distribution they deserve. Second, give our LPs and the wider YC ecosystem a richer, more regular view into the portfolio. Pioneer's social presence ties both together. The programs below are already running today, and this hire brings them under one owner so they ship consistently and scale.

Pioneer Fund combines capital, expertise, connections, and support from 500 Y Combinator alumni to back founders across the YC network. Founded in 2017, we have made 1,000 investments globally and supported hundreds of founders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Silicon Valley Post (https://svpost.com)

- Keep articles shipping on a consistent schedule, owning scheduling, posting, cadence, and quality control across the publication
- Coordinate directly with founders on announcements, managing embargos, running calls to gather detail, checking accuracy, and timing posts for maximum reach
- Hold the editorial bar and voice of the publication steady as volume grows

Webinars, Podcast, and Interview Content

- Run our webinar program end to end across a range of topics, from scheduling and speakers through promotion and follow-up
- Scale existing content initiatives including our podcast, VP interviews, and batch updates
- Build repeatable processes so each format scales cleanly as we add more

Social and Special Projects

- Own the cadence and coordination of Pioneer's social presence across LinkedIn and X, planning what goes out and when, coordinating across the team, and amplifying the fund's voice
- Own media tracking and outreach, monitoring coverage and pitching stories externally
- Support content around conferences and events
- Propose and pilot new formats as you find what works

QUALIFICATIONS





- Demonstrated instinct for distribution and growth, with a track record of content that actually reached people and evidence of impressions, reach, or audience built
- Solid editorial judgment: you know what good looks like for articles, visuals, and editing, and you hold a high bar across everything that ships
- Reliable execution, taking defined work and shipping it consistently without needing to be managed through it
- Excellent founder-facing and coordination skills, comfortable managing embargos, calls, and multiple concurrent timelines
- Fluency with AI tools as part of the daily workflow, using them to move faster without losing quality
- Comfort with the pace and culture of tech and startup media, including what plays on X and LinkedIn
- Visual taste and comfort producing assets in Canva or similar
- Thrives in a fast-paced, remote, dynamic environment while managing multiple concurrent workstreams
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward proposing solutions rather than waiting for direction

REQUIREMENTS

- 2 to 4 years of experience in content, editorial, social, or communications, ideally in tech, media, or venture
- A link set of published work, writing, and social footprint. Applications without one will not be considered. Include link in your cover letter.
- Working knowledge of publishing and scheduling tools, CMS platforms, and social management
- Technical fluency with major AI tools
- Interest in technology and the startup ecosystem, with familiarity with Y Combinator and the seed-stage landscape a plus
- Bonus: short-form video or podcast production experience

SF Bay Area, Toronto (hybrid, 2 days per week in office), or Remote
