EXPERIENCED BREAKFAST COOK – FULL-TIME & PART-TIME

Qualicum Beach, BC | New Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant Opening Soon A new breakfast and lunch restaurant is planning to open in Qualicum Beach, and we are currently seeking experienced breakfast cooks to join our opening team.

We are looking for dependable, professional cooks who are comfortable working in a fast-paced breakfast environment and can consistently prepare quality food while maintaining excellent organization, cleanliness, and timing.

Hours of Operation:

7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. | 7 days a week

Positions Available:

Full-time and part-time

Required Experience & Cooking Skills

Applicants should have previous professional breakfast or short-order cooking experience and be confident with:

- Cooking eggs accurately to order, including over-easy, over-medium, over-hard, sunny-side, scrambled and poached
- Preparing omelettes and other egg-based breakfast dishes
- Working a busy flat-top/griddle
- Cooking bacon, sausage, ham and other breakfast proteins
- Preparing pancakes, French toast and similar breakfast items
- Preparing hash browns, breakfast potatoes and side dishes
- Managing multiple orders simultaneously during busy breakfast rushes
- Reading and organizing kitchen tickets efficiently
- Timing multiple components so complete meals leave the kitchen together




- Maintaining proper portion control and food presentation
- Basic knife skills and food preparation
- Safe food handling, storage and temperature control
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
- Following recipes, portion standards and restaurant procedures
- Working effectively and communicating with other kitchen and front-of-house staff

- Experienced in a professional breakfast or high-volume restaurant kitchen
- Reliable and punctual
- Calm and organized under pressure
- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing food quality
- Comfortable working early mornings and weekends
- A strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Committed to cleanliness and food safety

FoodSafe certification is preferred. Tips $ distributed weekly. This is an opportunity to become part of the opening team of a recent locally operated breakfast and lunch restaurant in Qualicum Beach.
