We are a busy Vietnamese casual restaurant with strong dine-in, takeout, and delivery volume. We are seeking an experienced cook who can work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment while maintaining consistency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes
- Prepare Vietnamese menu items including soups, broths, noodle dishes, and stir-fry
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Assist in training kitchen helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Experience
- Completion of Secondary School
- 3-5 years of experience as a cook
- Demonstrate professional experience preparing Vietnamese cuisine required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Robust time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Language
- English required
- Vietnamese is an asset
