We’re looking for a friendly and hardworking Cook to join our team. If you’re someone who takes pride in valuable food, enjoys working with their hands, has a good attitude, and likes being part of a supportive, family-style work environment, we’d love to meet you! Shifts are Tuesday morning, Wednesday & Thursday until 2pm, Friday & Saturday afternoon-evening.
What You’ll Do
Your days will be varied and busy. You’ll help keep things running smoothly in the kitchen by:
- Preparing and cooking Saskitoba’s Ukrainian dishes according to our recipes and standards
- Helping with daily food prep, including chopping, portioning, assembling, and preparing ingredients
- Keeping up with production so we have plenty of delicious food ready for the buffet
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen throughout your shift
- Following proper food safety and handling procedures
- Helping with dishes, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks when needed
- Completing end-of-day cleaning so we’re ready to roll the next day
What We’re Looking For The right fit for this role is someone who:
- Brings a positive attitude and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed
- Takes pride in the food they prepare and cares about quality
- Is comfortable following recipes and working independently
- Has a basic understanding of kitchen safety and food handling
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Can stand for long periods and lift up to and above 50+ lbs
- Has reliable transportation (we’re not on a public transit route)
- Is available for a mix of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Ideally has previous kitchen or restaurant experience
