You will provide clinical counselling, therapy, & related services to individuals (children, youth, adults), couples, & families seeking assistance with personal/interpersonal problems. May provide group therapy sessions, facilitate Rapid Access Clinics, & engage in community collaborations.
- Provide counselling, therapy & related services.
- Experience in counselling children, youth & families.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine needs & goals.
- Develop individualized serviced plans.
- Facilitate groups & develop programs.
- Attend agency meetings, knowledgeable about agency programs/community activities & community outreach.
- Perform related administrative & record keeping duties.
- Participate in clinical supervision.
- Assist with supervision of peers, students & individual cases.
- Work flexible hours - including evenings & weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree in Social Work (BSW, BISW).
- 3-5 years of supervised clinical experience in a related/relevant counselling area.
- Eligible to register with & maintain good standing in a relevant qualified association.
- Experience providing counselling to children under 12 years of age.
- Experience with evidence-based interventions for children & youth mental health & behavioural concerns.
- Experience in facilitating group work; knowledge of group dynamics.
- Strong organizational, time management & caseload management skills.
- Excellent written & verbal communication.
- Maintain confidentiality & uphold professional ethical standards.
- Respond effectively to complex & sensitive situations.
