Wood Country Building Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales & Estimating Specialist to join our team.
This position plays a key role in supporting customers through the planning, estimating, and purchasing process for residential, agricultural, commercial, and post-frame building projects. The successful candidate will prepare accurate material take-offs, quotations, and project estimates while providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
Working closely with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, the Sales & Estimating Specialist helps ensure projects are accurately priced, efficiently coordinated, and successfully delivered.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparing accurate material estimates and quotations
- Reviewing building plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Calculating quantities and material requirements
- Assisting customers with product selection and project planning
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal departments
- Following up on quotations and customer inquiries
- Supporting sales growth through strong customer relationships
- helping customers in store
- using point of sale computer system for invoicing customers
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, building materials, estimating, or related fields
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Demonstrated leadership maturity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computer systems and estimating software is an asset
