We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.

Responsibilities

- Carry out all tasks and procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods.
- Report any deviation from documented procedures to your direct line manager, or nominated person.
- Sign and Issue Test Reports when authorization is received.
- Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any nonconforming event related to customer samples, or other departmental operations.
- Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person conditions within the department.
- Act in a safe and qualified manner and wear appropriate attire.
- Monitor the performance of the equipment and QCs and report all deviations to your direct line manager, or nominated person.




- Practicing good housekeeping.
- Communicate general laboratory issues to your direct line manager, or nominated person as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as required by management.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Follow Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC), and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Raise non-conformance investigation requests to the QAQC department as necessary.

Requirements

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- BSc or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Well-versed in the operation and implementation of LIMS.
