Our Company:

Creekside Farms Ltd. (“the company”) is a greenhouse farming operation growing vegetables under glass in Surrey and Aldergrove, BC. Along with Fresh4U Farms Ltd. in Abbotsford and Fresh4Sunset Farms in Delta , our farms form the Fresh4U Group.

About the role:

The Crop Supervisor will support greenhouse crop production and daily labour operations by coordinating crop activities, monitoring plant health and environment, and supervising staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards and WorkSafe BC requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the Grower to determine crop work, schedules, forecasts and budgeted time expectations

· Assist the Grower with all aspects of crop production including irrigation, fertilizing, pruning, pest scouting/spraying, pollination and crop registration

· Monitor crop schedules, pollination effectiveness, plant health, climate, and computerized greenhouse environments to ensure optimum quality and yield

· Plan space allocation and ensure timely completion of crop tasks and delivery of time-sensitive products

· Collect and maintain growing data (pH, EC, drainage, water samples, pest activity, harvest details) and production records

· Monitor Priva FS usage, correct errors,



and communicate with Priva clerk to produce labour and efficiency reports

· Assign duties and supervise crop workers to meet production timelines, targets, and quality standards

· Train workers on crop activities, SOPs, Food Safety and WorkSafe BC

· Monitor performance, provide feedback, and work with HR and Grower on corrective actions

· Plan labour requirements, schedules, and ensure labour budgets and production targets are met

· Ensure workers have required tools, materials and supplies and that produce quality is maintained

· Plan daily labour needs; ensure cleaning, disinfection, and end-of-shift procedures are completed

· Conduct inspections and report maintenance or repair issues

· Approve timesheets, notify payroll of changes, and maintain compliance with company policies and programs (Food Safety, WorkSafe BC, TFWP)

· Maintain required records, support food safety programs, and ensure visitor and supplier compliance

· Attend and participate in daily and weekly meetings with Growers, operations, warehouse and sales

· Communicate clear production goals and expectations to workers and report on labour efficiencies and budgets

· Respond to greenhouse alarms and emergencies (24/7)



and escalate as required

· Identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and participate in SRED projects and training

Food Safety:

· Ensure Food Safety Program procedures are followed in the crop areas; complete all forms

· Participate in Food Safety Audits

Environment:

· Work environment can be warm and humid

· Lifting up to 30 lbs.

· Standing and walking for long periods of time.

· Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching

Candidate requirements:

Education:

· Post-secondary education in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, or a related field is an asset, but not required

Licensing/Registrations/Certifications:

· First Aid, Level II

· Forklift Certification

Experience

· 1–3 years of supervisory experience in greenhouse operations and experience working with greenhouse crops and production activities

Other Skills, knowledge and/or abilities:

· Strong leadership experience with an operations management mindset and approach

· Possess good problem-solving skills and an excellent ability to prioritize work for up to 50 workers

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
