Village Market Customer Service Associate - Full Time and Part Time positions The Village Market is located at the heart of the Blue Mountain Village. It is a grocery and convenience store serving thousands of locals and tourists year round.

We are searching for a hard working, personable, individual to join our team.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL/CUSTOMER SERVICE

- Greet, welcome and provide customers with excellent customer service skills
- Operate cash register and process credit/debit payments
- Verify the age of customers when selling age restricted products
- Pull daily sales reports
- Complete daily cash outs
- Perform other duties as assigned

HOUSEKEEPING

- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area
- Ensure store stays clean and organized
- Follow all Health and Safety Procedures

MERCHANDISING

- Stock shelves when items are low and new inventory arrives
- Complete merchandising tasks as directed and maintain efficient flow of merchandise from backroom to sales floor
- Advise appropriate person regarding stock outs/shortages
- Perform stock counts and orders for designated areas





LOSS PREVENTION

- Ensure loss prevention Standards are followed
- Control cash and lottery in accordance with prescribed cash handling policies and procedures
- Maintain proper security of cash and merchandise

Job Requirements:

GENERAL

- Good communication skills and ability to read and write in English
- Customer Service orientated
- Able to work under minimal supervision and have attention to detail
- Able to work individually and be a team player
- Effective problem solver
- Able to work in a rapid-paced environment
- Experience in cash handling is not a requirement but an asset
- Experience working in a grocery store is not a requirement but an asset

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- Blue Mountains, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
