Embrun Co-op is a co-operative locating in Eastern Ontario which serves its clients in both official languages. It offers products and services through its seven divisions and is owned by its members who have chosen to join in order to share in the advantages of co-operation. Reporting to the Rona division director, this position is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection, special orders, and general inquiries both in-store and over the phone. The successful candidate will help maintain a well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing environment, stay informed on current promotions and product offerings, and continuously develop their product knowledge and sales skills.

The Role

- Assist customers with their information/product requirements in the store or over the telephone.

- Prepare special orders, obtain the required information and specifications from customers, contact Special Order Purchaser to establish and confirm price and available delivery date.

- Maintain entire store,



including ensuring area is well stocked and merchandised with current product levels and information signage. Monitor inventory levels, perform inventory counts, and highlight inventory concerns.

- Keep current on flyer and promotional events.

- Actively strive to increase product knowledge, understand application and/or renovation techniques, and improve selling skills by participating in available training sessions.

- Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate will

- Have effective selling skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

- Has strong communication skills both orally and written.

- Be bilingual - French / English.

- Has the ability to perform work duties involving stretching, bending, lifting, and carrying medium to heavy products is required.
