Role Description This part time, on-site Customer Service Representative role is based in Iqaluit, NU. In this position, the representative supports clients with everyday banking needs, responds to inquiries, and provides accurate information on CIBC products and services. Daily tasks include handling account transactions, resolving issues, identifying opportunities to improve the client experience, and referring clients to specialized teams when appropriate.

The representative uses CIBC’s tools and systems to document interactions, follow established procedures, and maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and compliance with policies and regulations.



The role involves working closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience and contributing to a positive branch environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Customer Service and Customer Support to assist clients effectively and handle inquiries with professionalism.
- Ability to foster strong Customer Experience and Customer Satisfaction through attentive, solution-focused interactions.
- Experience working as Customer Service Representatives or in similar client-facing financial or retail roles.
- Strong communication and active listening abilities, with clear spoken and written English; additional languages are an asset.
- Comfort using digital banking tools, POS systems, and standard office software to process transactions and record information accurately.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to security, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in an on-site team workplace and adapt to changing client needs.
- Secondary school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.
- Prior banking or financial services experience is beneficial but not mandatory; commitment to learning and continuous improvement is expected.
