Q Test Inspection Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced CWB Level 2 / NDT Technician with valid MT2, UT2 and PT2 certifications to join our team in Central, Alberta.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong background in welding inspection and non-destructive testing who is comfortable working in both field and shop environments.

Candidates must be local to the Edmonton/Red Deer area and legally authorized to work in Canada.

What You'll Be Doing

- Perform visual welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards and client requirements
- Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Review weld quality and identify and report relevant indications and deficiencies
- Complete detailed inspection reports and required documentation
- Ensure inspections are performed in accordance with applicable procedures and client specifications
- Maintain Q Test and client safety standards at all times
- Work at various customer sites throughout the Edmonton area as required

Qualifications
- Valid CWB Level 2 certification – required




- Valid CGSB MT2 certification – required
- Valid CGSB UT2 certification – required
- Valid CGSB PT2 certification – required
- Previous welding inspection and NDT experience
- Experience in fabrication, construction, oil & gas or industrial inspection is considered an asset
- Solid knowledge of applicable inspection codes and standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Strong communication, documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be local to Edmonton, AB
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
