Data Engineering Intern

Position Overview

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Data Engineering Intern to support the development, integration, and maintenance of data infrastructure. This role is suited to individuals who are interested in building reliable data pipelines and understanding how data is efficiently collected, transformed, stored, and delivered for business and analytical use.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and maintaining data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from multiple sources.
- Work with structured and semi-structured datasets to support downstream analytical requirements.
- Assist with database development, data organization, and data integration activities.
- Perform data validation and support initiatives focused on improving data quality.
- Monitor data workflows and assist in identifying and resolving pipeline issues.
- Contribute to the optimization of data processing and transformation workflows.
- Assist in documenting data sources, pipeline processes, schemas, and technical procedures.
- Collaborate with data analysts, software developers, and other technical stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Participate in projects involving modern data platforms,



cloud technologies, and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of databases, data structures, and programming fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Python or another programming language.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and fundamental data pipeline concepts.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Solid troubleshooting, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while managing assigned responsibilities independently.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.
