Data Lead – Oracle Fusion Data Migration

Our client, a large and complex Canadian organization, is embarking on a major business and digital transformation centred on the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP / Financials .

We are seeking an experienced Data Lead – Oracle Fusion Data Migration to lead the data readiness, migration, reconciliation and validation workstream for this large-scale ERP transformation.

This is a senior client-side leadership role responsible for helping ensure that enterprise and financial data is accurately understood, cleansed, mapped, transformed, migrated and reconciled as the organization transitions from its legacy ERP environment to Oracle Fusion.

The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle Fusion data migration experience with strong Finance data knowledge, governance discipline and the ability to coordinate business SMEs, technical teams and Systems Integrator (SI) resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the data migration workstream for a large Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP / Financials implementation.
- Develop and drive the data migration strategy, approach, planning and execution.
- Lead data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, migration, reconciliation and validation activities.
- Establish clear data ownership, governance and accountability across business and technical teams.
- Coordinate source-to-target mappings and ensure they are complete, traceable and business-approved.
- Work closely with Finance SMEs,



technical teams and the SI to identify and resolve data-quality issues.
- Oversee migration of Finance master data, transactional data and Chart of Accounts (COA) structures .
- Lead multiple mock conversions and readiness activities leading to production cutover.
- Establish reconciliation processes and control totals to ensure migrated balances and transactions accurately reconcile to source systems.
- Identify migration risks, dependencies and data-quality issues early enough to prevent impact to cutover.
- Ensure the client maintains appropriate ownership and control of its enterprise data throughout the implementation.

Must-Have Experience

- Proven experience leading data workstreams on large Oracle Fusion implementations .
- Strong, recent Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP / Financials data migration experience .
- Deep experience with:
- Data profiling and cleansing
- Source-to-target mapping
- Data transformation
- Data governance and ownership
- Migration strategy
- Reconciliation and validation
- Robust understanding of Finance master and transactional data , including Chart of Accounts.
- Experience planning and executing multiple mock conversions and production cutover .
- Strong understanding of financial reconciliation,



validation and control totals.
- Ability to coordinate Finance/business SMEs, technical teams and Systems Integrator migration resources .
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

- Unit4 Business World / Agresso migration experience.
- Oracle Fusion migration tools and data structures, including FBDI / ADF and related Oracle capabilities .
- Experience migrating data from multiple legacy/source systems.
- Fund accounting and/or multi-entity Finance data experience.
- Data governance / Master Data Management (MDM) experience.
- Strong SQL and data-analysis capability.
- Experience with Snowflake or other enterprise data platforms .
- Experience within complex, decentralized, highly governed or not-for-profit environments.

What Success Looks Like You will help ensure that data-quality issues are identified early and assigned accountable owners; source-to-target mappings are complete and business-approved; and migrated balances and transactions accurately reconcile to source systems.

Most importantly, no material data-quality or reconciliation issue should threaten production cutover .
